Jeremy Bines, Assistant to the Conductor

Jeremy Bines studied music at Cambridge and trained as a répétiteur at the National Opera Studio (London). He has worked for the Royal Opera House (Covent Garden), English National Opera, Almeida Opera, Opéra de Metz, Batignano, among others.   He has conducted at Dartington (Entführung, Traviata), has conducted offstage for ROH and ENO, and been assistant conductor at Aldeburgh and ROH Linbury. In the 2006-7 season, Jeremy worked as a répétiteur at the Danish Royal Opera, Copenhagen and will return there in 2007-8 as chorus master and assistant conductor. 
He returns for his fourth season with Lyrique-en-Mer, where he has assisted Philip Walsh in Carmen, Die Zauberflöte, Figaro, Orphée, Don Giovanni, Falstaff and conducted The Messiah, Vivaldi’s Gloria, and Haydn’s Nelson Mass. He conducts Mozart's C minor mass on Belle Ile this season.
